Our Founder, Stef Miller holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) Degree and has in excess f thirty years experience in Safeguarding including Teaching in FE Colleges, Lecturing at Foundation, Undergraduate and Postgraduate Levels on a variety of Law and Safeguarding related Topics.  

Appointed by the Hone Secretary as an Independent Monitor Of Prisons, Stef worked in HMP Swaleside and HMP Cardiff as a member of the Independent Monitoring Board of each institution with responsibility for safeguarding, use of force and control and restraint. Stef has also held roles within organisations working with young people in the community, those detained under various sections of the Mental Health Act, and for the last 10 years on contract to the Home Office managing a team of Officers in the Asylum and Refugee field.

At Acre safeguarding Solutions we draw for the experience and skillset of safeguarding subject-matter experts to deliver your training and consultancy solutions. 

Group F2F

Our preferred delivery method of face to face in groups of no more than 20 participants. Experience shows that training delivered with a Lecture / Seminar Element in each course provides the students with both a structured formal learning input and a more informal classroom discussion in each session. F2F Group work also provides a different learning environment that fosters interaction between the group members and the Trainer allowing for a more fluid and dynamic learning environment.

Group - Virtual

Acre Safeguarding Solutions Limited also offer virtual training solutions via Microsoft Teams to organisations that may find it difficult to pull staff together in one location for F2F Training. The content of the Training is identical, however the  physical interplay between participants and Trainer will be different.

Single F2F

At Acre Safeguarding Solutions Limited, we also offer face to face training solutions on a one to one basis. This may be for a variety of reasons, including, but not limited to:

• Staff requiring additional training or support following an incident
• Small businesses or organisations with limited staff numbers
• New contracts or service delivery models that require additional training

The cost for each training solution varies from course to course. Variables include:

• The subject(s) to be taught.
• Length of the training course
• Number of staff attending
• Mode of course delivery
• Whether the course is 'standalone' or part of an annual or biennial training solution package
